I feel absoutely fortunate to be Prof.O.N.Srivastava's daughter.

My father needs no introduction. He made his mark very early in 80's when he was awarded prestigious SHANTI SWAROOP BHATNAGAR AWARD. He kept receiving many honors and awards and final pinnacle happened in 2016 when he received PADMA SHRI award by the government of India. His larger than life figure should be remembered for generations to come.

I was previliged to complete my post graduation in the department of Physics in 1992,BHU in 1992 to 1994.

He is the "Hydrogen man of India". He was an eminent scientist of the country and the globe. He was very fondly called Prof.Nano by Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam, Guruji by all his students and boss by his colleagues.

My father dedicated his life to serve the sciences in the field of hydrogen energy, nanotechnology and experimental condensed matter Physics.

He spent most of his life in the Department of Physics, BHU for teaching and research after his coming back from Cornell, USA in 1969.

My father was a great visionary as he had decided Hydrogen as future fuel in earl 80's only. He had a unique intelligence and  was a demanding perfectionist, very demanding most of the time to bring out the best in you and the academic father to his students.

For him research was a way of life. He was dedicated to making not only BHU but India best in class and a centre of excellence in all the areas.

I would like to name some of his students and convey my thanks and regards to them for being with him in his thick and thin..

Dr. T.P Yadav, Dr.Sterlin Hudson, Dr. AshiSh Bhatnagar, Anant Pandey,SRF, Satish Verma, SRF Mr. Chote Lal jee.  They helped him until his last breath. 

My father was down to earth person and humble person.

He pursued his passion without seeking any appreciation and honours.

Rather than mourning I decided to celebrate his life, his life lessons, passions, humble approach to man kind should be available to others as well so that it can be role model for the generations to come. I have updated his Wikipedia , created website and shall compile a biography by HIS grace so that he continues to live among us. Aum Sai Ram.
