Guruji was very reserve with his students in BHU or in Banaras. However, when we used to go for any conference etc. out of station, he was completely a different man. Cracking jokes, antakchhari, etc. Every train stoppages he would tell us to have something to eat. 
But as soon as we return and alight at Varanasi station, he would suddenly transform to his serious mood.

I personally had learnt a lot fro Guruji as how to write research papers, how to edit the papers and compilation of data.

He was instrumental in getting admitted to Ph.D. as the then HOD was very much annoyed with me. Guruji  argued with HOD to get me enrolled as research scholar.

I can never forget his dedication for work, a workaholic in true sense. 

Though my post Ph.D. job ( but for initial 3 years) was in industry, I could do satisfactorily well due to perfect training from our Great Guruji.
